T I H A R ^ ^

T I H A R   2 K 7 5 Tihar, a festival which celebrates the bond between brother & sister , fills our faded life with colors of energy & motivation & shades light of happiness & togetherness. Deusi & Bhailo makes Tihar even more auspicious.  Maybe the lights of Tihar not only kill the darkness of the day but also the darkness & negative thoughts from people's hearts & minds. Welcoming Laxmi through decorated Rangoli & lightened house also strengthens the faith of people on themselves thinking that they have the presence of Laxmi in their house. This year too we enjoyed our   Tihar   but at a different place. My sister & I had hard time preparing Rangoli but it somehow turned out pretty good. Thanks to our hard work!!  Since we don"t have pet dog & we usually don't feed crow.  First two days were like usu...

D A S H A I N ^ ^

D A S H A I N    2 K 7 5 Dashain always has been that festival which I wait for entire year to cherish. Dashain for me is more than just a festival. For me, it beholds little bit different definition. For me, Dashain is the celebration of kinship & emotional bonds where the blessings from the guiding hand of our elders, which weigh a lot more than gold & money, are shed over us with Tika & Jamara. Dashain is that time of the year in Nepal where all of us, regardless of our economic status, color & gender, enjoy with all our heart alongside mutual respect & participation from others. As usual, this year too, Dashain left us with light hearts & happy faces with smiles. With no regrets, we enjoyed our Dashain. Being among those who love us & whom we love, Dashain becomes even more meaningful. In our family, Dashain has always been that time period where all of us are usually at home celebrating these happy days that come once in a...

The greatest gift I ever had Came from God. I call him Dad!

MY LIFE SAVIOR , MY “FATHER” In my bad & my good, I always have had a hand above my head who always reminds me of my potentiality & my dreams. I am proud to state that my father is the one who has been through darkest of my days.  My father’s name is Ashman Rai. He was born in Falgun 24 2035 BS.  My father is 40  years  old. He has been working as business man who owns  cafeterias at 8 schools & colleges. He has been working day & night in order to make our family happy & see that smile shining on our faces. All he has ever asked for is good grades in exams. He always pushes his priorities & wishes aside & just focuses on what we ask for. In this life & in other future lives too, i wish to be born as his daughter. My father sums up perfectly as a supportive father who never denies my request & wishes. He sometimes scolds me but I can see his concern for me reflecting clearly in his ...

Travel Diaries

Day 1(KATHMANDU TO GORKHA & BANDIRPUR) “ Broad, wholesome, charitable views  of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all of one’s lifetime.” Every once and a while, we as an individual try & spare some time from our busy lives & let go of that wanderlust. Considering this point, we 9 th graders of Jagat Mandir Higher Secondary School would like to kindly share our small yet adventurous experiences which still hold our breaths & hold us captivated ever since 26 th Mangsir 2074(Wednesday). Early in the dawn maybe at 6:30 am we students gathered together at our school’s ground with stuffed bags & hearts full of doubts & suspense. Neither of us knew how this journey of ours will turn out but little did we knew that we would find ourselves in a different place with different attitude. After having our breakfast, at 8:30 am we rushed towards the bus capturing ours seats & 5-hours-long bus travel start...
